belt/idler/tensioner squeal?
Hey. I have had a bad squeak/chirp on my car. I change all of the pullies... it helped some. Its not on the ac part since I took off the serpintine and no noise from the ac belt/pullies. Has a new alenator I just changed and the motor has a new water pump. I don't think it a powersterring whine. Those seem to sound different. Could it be the tensioner? When its running if I pull back on it and it quieted down, when I push twards the drivers side(making more slack) it squeaks more. Could it be a tensioner? I don't know what else to look for?

Get a 3' piece of 3/8" clear tubing. Place one end to your ear and use the other end to find the noise. Fix or replace whatever is making the noice. Pulleys can be lubed.
This has been explained multiple times before and you should be able to find the threads.
