Default Video- Tell me if my trans rocks too much (T56)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOicu...ature=youtu.be

I recently swapped in a T56, the one I bought the car with had a poly mount so it was nice and firm. I wanted to try the rubber mount cause of the excessive vibration from the poly one.

To me it seems like my trans is bouncing around way too much, about 1". Is this normal on a stock setup? Crossmember bolts and all are torqued down.

Is the rubber mount in there now? Because if it is, that looks exactly like a broken rubber mount.

Correct. Wow thats lame as hell if it is, its been on for less than 2 months. Been through 2 street launches and maybe 2-4 highway pulls, this sucks. Luckily I still have the poly one, but I'm worried about running a poly trans mount with rubber engine mounts..

Yea, they're super weak. My buddy broke his many years ago in a stock T56 car, and his shifter bounced the same way yours does. I broke a rubber mount in a bone stock 96 Z28 A4 just hitting WOT once. Upgraded to a poly mount and never looked back.

How are your motor mounts?

They're fine, when I had the poly trans mount everything felt nice and tight. I really wish I could find a way to dampen the vibrations from the poly mount.

My car spit out 2 rubber trans mounts within a 2 month period. Each time I took off the crossmember, the new mounts literally were crumbled.
Switched to a poly one and never looked back! I never even really noticed any vibration either.
