i installed these headers a few days ago on my 99 SS. everything went well no issues other than dealing with the TSP ory. both passenger and driver side headers are rubbing on a part of the frame? sub frame? can this just be removed or grinded down? i am still running stock motor mounts.
Even if you do grind, you will continue to have problems until you change the motor mounts. I have never used the TSP headers but when I was looking around I had heard that some people had to do some grinding with the TSPs. I did not have any such issues with the Kooks headers.
If it were me, I would mark the contact points, remove the headers, install poly motor mounts, grind where needed, and re-install.
