need help alternator issue or what Car just came from dealer just notice top alternator plug only has 1 wire coming from it but has space for 4 my car won't hold a charge with new alternator and new battery car keeps draining battery And wen battery voltage get low all dash board lights become illuminated need to know what's this issue not sure if wiring is jacked up

That one wire is the exciter/field wire, it needs to make a good connection for the alternator to begin charging. If there was recent work that involved this connector, or in that general vicinity, then it's quite common for the wire to get partially (or fully) ripped out of the connector. I would start by checking the connector.

That one wire is the exciter/field wire, it needs to make a good connection for the alternator to begin charging. If there was recent work that involved this connector, or in that general vicinity, then it's quite common for the wire to get partially (or fully) ripped out of the connector. I would start by checking the connector.
