Default Torque arm won't align!

Happy belated Independence Day,
I am the proud owner of a 99 Camaro Z28 with the T56 6-speed tranny, over the weekend I changed my master cylinder and my slave cylinder but when I went to put everything back together I ran into a problem my transmission is in the crossmember is on everything fits perfectly the drive shaft goes back in although when I go to reinstall the torque arm it doesn't align well with the rear and bolts, the end of the torque arm has two big boats that should align with the rear end but they don't!! It's been a pain trying to get the torque arm back in because of this problem does anyone have any suggestions thank you for reading my post and thank you especially to those who reply anything will help.
