2001 Camaro Rear Problem/Noise
Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone else has had this problem in the past and can give me some insight. On my way to work yesterday I heard a lot of noise coming from the rear of my car. The noise was really similar to driving a car with rear tire that had about 20lbs of air in it. Naturally, I checked the tires and they were fine. However, just before I got home I heard a small crack. That was followed by some light scratch noise. While turning down my road I began to get a loud thump every time the tire rotates. I took it around the block earlier and sure enough the thumping was there as soon as I hit about 5mph I jacked it up to see if I could get any play in the wheels when pressing them but I didn't get anything. Nothing is hanging from the rear and the car doesn't pull to either side. Anyone have an idea?
