02 camaro front end questions
I recently bought a 2002 Z28 the problem I'm having is when i slow down to a stop the front end is loud. Its hard to describe the noise, if i had to id describe it as a smooth rub. I don't get any vibration in the steering wheel and brakes are fine. I'm just wondering what are some possible causes for the loud noise. Any input is appreciated.

First thing do as was previously listed, check the condition of the pads and rotors. Look for any abnormal wear on either set of pads as this will indicate a possibly sticking caliper. If a caliper is sticking, the inboard pad (nearest piston) will be worn down in a manner that would look like it's got an angle on it. Do you notice if the car holds itself on a slight incline/downgrade when stopped? That can also be an indicator of a sticking caliper.
Or there could be some rubbing on the caliper. Basically just take off the wheels, check the rims and calipers for any wear marks while checking the pads and rotors.

Pretty easy, but you will be replacing the hub, not just the bearings. Remove the caliper, pads, bracket, abs connector and the 4 bolts holding the hub.
Moog will run about $120ish, and Raybestos about $85 each.

what kind of brake rotors and pads you using?
I had bought a set of cross-drilled & slotted rotors off ebay a while back and a decent set of pads. For the first 5k-10k miles they were ok maybe a little noisy but last year they got really really bad and would groan like crazy whenever braking normal. Put my oem rotors and pads back on, perfectly quiet.
