Knock sensor's bad, how hard is it to change?
My computer's telling me my #1(fwd) knock sensor is bad. How hard is this to change? I have never done much work on my car, or any car, but can fix just about anything thats wrong with an airplane. Any help on how to get this done? I need to get it changed before Sunday because I'm driving it to NY from NC for a funeral.

The hardest part is usually getting the fuel line off the manifold...if you remove it (you don't absolutely have to), get the PLASTIC fuel line disconnect kit from a local Auto Zone or something. It'll pop right off.
Other than that, it just takes time...the manifold bolts won't be all that tight, and it'll just pull right off once you get the bolts all loose. Just put some masking tape around the back 4 bolts to hold them up, and make sure you don't pull it out too far before disconnecting the MAP sensor wiring harness. Watch the brake booster line as well, as it can (and will) break your oil pressure sending unit.
If you go on LS1howto.com, it'll outline this for you with their intake manifold swap instructions. Very straightforward.
