I didn't want to hijack the thread that the guy with the 98 had so i figured I'd start my own. Before anyone asks I've done both mods that installuniversity has and neither work. I need to pull up on my hatch while hitting the release 3 or 4 times before my hatch will open. I used the exact spring that installuniversity suggested and even tried a heavier spring piggybacked with the factory spring but nothing has worked. Anyone have any other ideas? This one is really pissing me off!

Wheel bearing grease seriously fixed it for me. As well the little golden (gold zinc) bar had a big piece missing out of it from wear so i filled it down some with a bastard file
