Default Need quick help with windshield wipers

The car: 99 Z28

My wife just called me from her work and said that her windshield wipers won't turn off. The only thing i can think is maybe there is something wrong with the dial you turn to get them to work.

Is there a fuse you can pull that will just turn them off until she get's home? She doesn't want to drive home with them on, and i can't go to look at it to see.

Mine has one in the main fuse block inside the car - "WIPER/WASH" (#14) -Wiper Motor Assembly, Wiper/Washer Switch.

Thanks guys, i think it might be stripped inside it...

Everything on the lever works (cruise, turn signals) except the part where you turn the windshield wipers. I can get them to go all the different speeds:

High speed
Low speed
and all the delay speeds

But there is no click between "off" and the delay speeds. There is a little bit of resistance and a small "click" in the middle of the delay speeds but even when i have it between "off" and the click in the middle of the delay speeds they still won't shut off. Because of that i'm thinking it's something mechanical in the lever itself.

Any input?

Sound like the lever to me. Check your PMs.

Did you ever find a solution for the problem? My TA seems to being doing the exact same thing.

Mine have a hell of a time shutting off too. They go down sometimes days after I turn the lever to off. I just push them down by hand so they tuck better until they go off.
