Steering Column Question.....Car turns but will not start... I am having problems with my steering column, I have eliminated lock cylinder and VATS as the cause of a "NO START" condition. Problem seems to be the internal mechanism that is actuated by the lock cylinder, when I try to start the car it turns but will not start and with the key in the "ON" position none of the lights on the gauges would light up, seems like its not opening the starting circuit. Would a steering column for a 98-up firebird/trans am fit my 1994? I will use the current air bag, but are the steering columns interchangeables??? Or... can anyone shed some light to my problem... I have done the VATS bypass thinking it was the problem, but it did not fix condition, "SECURITY" light is not turned on.... Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance for any help.
