Oil Change Frequency?
My car is only driven a few thousand miles a year and I change the oil every spring. So the question is, is it ok to change the oil once a year?
Thanks

I think twice would be better. In the spring like you do and then again before winter. It's not just the mileage driven but the temperature changes over time will add condensation from the air in the engine, to the oil. If it's always garaged, maybe that's not a big deal.
My personal system for my daily driver that gets about 18k per year is to disregard mileage and change the synthetic oil everytime the seasons change, or 4 a year. It's not real scientific but it works for me.

a car that rarely gets driven should still have the oil changed every 3-6 months depending on how it's stored. just to be safe i'd do it 2-3 times a year. it's not that expensive, plus it gives you another excuse to take her for a spin
