I use CD-2 Street Legal Oil Boost in my 71, ONLY because zinc needed to protect flat tappet cams has been kicked out of the newest engine oils, and SLOB is loaded with the stuff. Not needed for newer engines with roller tappets, so it's straight GC for the 98.

I use LC20 every once and a while (2000 miles or so), and sometimes "top up" my Red Line mix (4 qts. 5W-30, 2 qts. 10W-40) with some SLOB & VSOT (Valvoline Syn. Oil Treatment).
These are the only additives even somewhat approved by B.I.T.O.G., along with Schaeffer's and Torco's moly stuff, and Specialty Formulations' SX-UP.
