Hi
living in San Diego you might have had the A/C on once in a while - my relief hole for the A/C was clogged and water came inside the car. Far right side - up front.
thanks
Bill

Try putting a towel or something over the area thats wet to see if the t-tops have a leak. If nothing then take that seat out and inspect further. Then take the center console out and pull part of the carpet up. Then tell us what you find. Im having a brain fart right now and can't think of exactly where all the rubber grommets are under the car to look for.

Hi Folks
Pasenager side - from under the car on the firewall you will see a plastic housing with a rusted hole on the bottom. I used a ice pick to open the hole and watch out for the water running out. Mine was rusted so bad - I just pulled the valve and created a new hole.
thanks
Bill
PS: if you have been running the A/C this is more than likely the problem. If it is cooling, the hole is clogged and needs to be cleaned because it should be running out - not in the car

Is the back carpet wet also? These things are pretty notorious for leaking from the hatch. It has a tendency to leak down underneath the back seat and then drain underneath the front when you come to a stop. Happened to me before. You have to use silicon to make sure the hatch weatherstripping is doing its job. If it isn't the heater core, then the hatch or the engine bay is the only other place if you don't have t-tops.

Yo,
I have my interior down to a metal shell right now trying to find a leak in my car. When I pulled the carpet, it weighed about 60 lbs from all the water in it. It will take a while to dry. Pulling your interior isnt that hard. I got my hose out yesterday and had my friend sit inside the car while I hosed it down, but didn't find anything leaking from the seals. I even applied pressure to the hose and sprayed near the hatch and door seals, and got nothing. When my buddy suggested the floor boards, I said i doubt it but, boom there it was. Those damn rubber grommets on the floor were leaking and began to fill up. I am gonna buy new ones and silicone them in. I am very happy to report that the metal shell of the interior looks just as it did when it left st. therese. Look at it this way, if you pull your carpet, you'll have a good chance to clean EVERYTHING that has to do with your interior, and you may even be able to do some sound deadening. Good luck, troubleshoot and you will find it!

Ive had the same problem on 3 of my cars... very irritating.. make sure to get that carpet dry pretty soon.. or it will simply smell like total crap that no amount of fabreeze can fix.

leak fix
this seen strange the water is actually coming in through the rear window. Pull the seal around the top of the rear glass at the top and tou will see that the lid is a tree layer metal stamp. take some silicaone and seal this this will get rid of the water in the trunk and back seat. there was a service bullentin on this also if you car is over 5 years old replace the seals cause even though they look fine the have shrunk in size. putting a additive like amour all will swell the seal for a while and stop the leaks but it will come back. My t top seals leak bad until I treated them with amourall I learned this froma friend that owns a body shop.
