Question Quick Picture Question!

I'm doing a little car work today, and I noticed these under the throttle body. They seem like they should have some sort of vacuum line attached to them or a small coolant line or something.

What the hell are these things?? They're literally right under the throttle body.

that is where the coolant used to run thru the throttle body, its a common mod to bypass the throttle body and leave it open like that

Okay, cool. I guess the previous owner did that mod.

So then *this* is the correct hose to pull to properly bleed the air pockets out of the cooling system?

+1 . The mod is so the coolant won't heat up as much if it doesn't run thought the TP. www.installuniversity.com has a write up on it and other helpful stuff check them out

Yes that is the correct hose for bleeding air pockets. www.installuniversity.com has a write up on changing the fluid and bleeding the air pockets

Doh!

Does anybody know what diameter that hose is for the air release? I've got a buddy pickin me up some at autozone, just need to know the right diameter. Mine is pretty much melted to the metal on both sides, and needs to be replaced.
