another AC question
when i'm in drive and the AC is off my rpm's are at 650 and the oil PSI is 34-36 but once i turn the AC on the RPM's drop to 500 and the oil PSI falls to 22-24 so my question is, is this normal???? i put a brand new AC belt on last saturday since i took the old one off last december. the AC blows cold as winter time, the car has 125K on it, just installed LT's less than 5K ago and LS6 intake 15K ago. plugs and wires are all 5K old. i will be doin a heads/cam swap with new timing chain and oil pump soon, could it just be my oil pump is gettin worn out?

It is normal for the engine to idle at a lower speed when the AC is on, and at such low rpms even 150 being the difference it should effect the oil pressure about that much. Although an ls6 ported oil pump is never a bad idea in a high mileage vehicle.
