Exclamation Metal shard on magnetic oil drain plug?????

So I changed the oil for the first time sense I got my 99 m6 ws6 today and I found a small sharp metal shard on the tip of my magnetic oil plug and it deffenetly looked like it broke off something. Now I'm no engine expert by any means but metal usually isn't good. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on and also if this means an engine rebuilds in my future? which would suck because the car is bone stock with 27000 miles on it. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Chris

You need a picture of it.
Better yet cut your filter open and see whats in there. If theres more you got problems. If not forget it and drive.
