Default Grinding noise coming from the headlights

O.k. i need help with this problem im having. Any time i close my lights the passenger side light makes a grinding noise for about 10 seconds. Someone once told me that it was a gear that went out and i need to replace it. What can you guys infrom me with this situation. Thank you

could b a sign tht the gear is getting weak...i whouldnt worry about it until it doesnt open or close ...as long as it works now it should b fine

Well i'ld rather replace it to fix the grinding noise. Its annoying as heck. How can i replace this gear, where can i find one if thats what it is.

also f it does turn out to be the gear, replace it with a brass one

or you can go to oreillys and get a motor for $65 with lifetime warranty
