how do you get the rearview mirror to slide off?

Default how do you get the rearview mirror to slide off?

i broke the glass on my rearview mirror so i bought a new one...the only problem is i don't know how to slide the damn thing off without breaking the glass. any suggestions??

theres a set screw that holds it to the tab on the window.

how do i get the screw loose? or better yet..where exactly is the screw? lol

I just took mine off. There is no screw, it slides straight back towards the headliner. I pried mine a bid with a small flat head screw driver to give it some leverage.

I took a small screwdriver to mine and placed pressure on the gap on the bottom of the mirror and the tab... there is no set screw on mine either...

I'm pretty sure I pried it off gently without a slotted screwdriver also. I had to put a little bit of grease on it to get it back on, it fits pretty tight.

I have no screw, mine just slides back and forth. used to fall off alot but hasn't in a long time now.
