Default 93-97 Wipers...?

What do your wiper arms look like? Mine seem to be the wrong way. The end "U" piece turns up, instead of down. Here's a photo:

From what I am told these are incorrect? I can't get most wiper blades to fit, especially those new style that are one long blade without all those little supports.

Those are correct. You have to get "camaro" specific blades. I know my autozone has them right next to the regular ones. Just ask them for the "camaro" specific ones. Its a PIA, but what are ya gonna do.

Is it this way for all 93-97? 93-02? If possible I want to replace them with the flipped version (if they exist).

Yea I tried about 3-4 others that SHOULD have fit but didn't one way or another.

I saw somewhere that LS1 model arms fit on our models and are easier to get blades for but I can't recall where I saw it. If anybody knows if this is true, I'd like to know one way or the other.

They will fit the spline but are made to rest on the LS1 style cowl cover and the cowl cover is made to fit with a LS1 style hood.

Minor differences in height.

Thanks for the info 2002. So the LS1 hood is a bit higher? I'd be interested in swapping out mine for LS1 replacements.

Does anyone know someone who has done this? Replace LT1 cowl cover and wiper arms for LS1 pieces?

I have an LT1 Cowl cover on my car and it fits OK. Also, the LS1 Cowl cover has rubber bumbers for the wiper arms to rest on. I did this because the glass guy broke the pocket on my LS1 cowl cover which holds it firmly up against the windshield up by the side mirrors.

The only difference I noticed is that the wipers don't perfectly rest on the bumpers when I turn them off. It causes no problems, just some people might consider that a drawback.

Ya I may need to do the LS1 wiper conversion now soon lol.. Mine don't wipe approx. half the windshield on each wiper.. it's frustrating.
