anyone dyno ther 90/90 full bot on car?
I just wanted to see what the gains are going from an ls6 intake to a 90/90 setup, been thinking baout going to a 90/90 for a couple of months now. I know a lot of people think its too big and a waste of money, im trying to go as fast as i can with stock internals so camming my car isnt an option. Dyno numbers or track times of gains are much appreciated

The fast works great if you have a good H/C combo that out flows the LS6 intake. But if you just have bolt ons it's not worth it:

i forgot to mention my mod list, i will have 243 ls6 heads, but i still will have the stockc am in it. My other mods are longtubes, tsp true duals, upd, lid, 342's and a 3800 stall.
i know i know, a lot of you will say well thats not a stock ls1, your right but it is oem, Im not going for any records here so im not looking for a specific title. I just want to be able to say i have a "stock" engine

Your probably going to see minimal if any gain on stock cube motor with stock heads(using the 90/90 combo) an LS6 and ported TB and the 243 LS6 heads will do just as well on your application.

My crate LS6/full bolt-ons/90.90/9''/M6 Dyno'd 405rwhp and 383rwtq. So pretty much the same thing you have but 9''/M6/and the LS6 cam which isn't too much bigger than a stock Ls1 cam. I wouldn't expect too much of a gain with the 90/90 without a cam but if you ever think you might change your mind in the future and even go with a baby cam like a 228R or something then it would be a good buy if you can get a good deal.

thats what im thinking as well. if i gain 5-10rwhp from it thats fine, right now its a max effort 346, and those numbers arent bad at all, i would take 405rwhp in a heart beat

Did you buy the 243's yet? I wish I had gone with a stage I cnc ported 243. They really aren't too much more expensive.
Any reason why you are doing heads and leaving the cam alone? A small cam like my TR224 is so much better than the stock cam.

That's cool, everybody has their own plan. Personally I found swapping the heads to be a lot of work - I did it all by myself. And if you're going to go through all that work it would be nice to have some good performance results.

yeah ive looked into it, the thing is that i can get a cam or i can get 243s, if im going to cam my car then i would want to do everything like timing chain, ls6 oil pump, pushrods, valve springs, cam, most sets with everything included is more than stock 243 heads, im sure eventually i will do a cam but not in the near future.
And to mass, ive done both head swaps and cam swaps and i feel that head swaps are easier, just my opinion though

Definately working backwards...
Stall,Cam,Heads in the A4.. i that Order... Try to match them... I would consider my car "stock"...with tastefull bolt on's..
G5X3 cam, unported 243's, Vig 3600 stall, stock cub'd 346, bolt on's..
Dynoed @ 403/405 to the wheels... not too shabby for an Auto...

first off i dont think it will be 1k, i already have the throttle body. I have found 90 intakes going for 600-650, i'll buy that and then sell my ls6 intake for 300, then we are only talking 300-350 bucks, sounds like a good deal to me
