Oil pressure for my mechanical oil pressure gauge
Hey guys,
Can someone tell me where are all the locations on the LS1 block where i can get oil pressure for my mechanical oil pressure gauge. Im tired of switching out the electrical sensor. Its being the 3rd time my sensor went bad, pegged my oil gauge. Its 2001 c5 corvette thanks guys.

Anyway, on an f body that piece has the right size hole in it already to run a 1/8" NPT tap through it and drill the last 1/4 inch or so with a 3/16" drill bit.

Just like the picture. There is a blind hole in the extension block that can easily be drilled and pipe tapped (1/8 NPT) for an additional oil pressure sensor or feed line can be added. The Vette oil pressure sensor is in the same spot as the f-bodies and trucks.

Why don't you want to use the piece above the filter?
Two bolts and you've got it on the bench to work on.
The hole is drilled, you just need to tap it. Then drill a small hole to open it up to the oil port.
Can you communticate better? People are going to recommend the easiest location until you give good reason why you don't want it there.
I found a pic of mine.
