Default Speed Inc AIR Blockoff

They are LAME!!!! I just got mine, they are nicely made, but one is thinner than the other and there are edges that still need filing. And they charged $9.20 for shipping on an $8 product. They could have just thrown them in an envelope and it would have been like 3 bucks.

End Rant

All in all they are nice pieces, I hope they work well

I notice that a lot. Ebay are the biggest offenders with their 20.00 shipping bs.

And now I look closer at the headers and there are 3 AIR type ports to block, whats up? I thought there was only two. There were only 2 blockoffs from Speed Inc.

98-00:

passenger side exhaust manifold: EGR, AIR
driver side exhaust manifold: AIR
intake manifold:EGR

should come with 4 plates altogether

01-02:

passeger side exhaust manifold: AIR
driver side exhaust manifold: AIR

no EGR at all. 01-02s have 2 holes to block

Damn I ordered the wrong one. I guess I can try to have the exhaust shop weld up one of the holes.

If they can do one, why not have them do all three right? It would look cleaner....... there went 20 bucks wasted on parts

How did you waste 20 buck? Stop being so pissed off for a minute, your going to have a stroke. Just use the plates that came with it and before you install them make the rest yourself. Just use some sort of plate metal that is thick enough and use a grinder to shape it if you have no other method. Good luck!

BTW Nice truck!!!

Man just make your own out of metal plates. Those thick heavy *** ones they sell will eventually lead to the AIR tube breaking off.

They're aluminum, so they're pretty light.

They are light as ****. And Im not really that mad, I just wish I had been more thorough at checking stuff out before I ordered it. My own fault, not blaming anyone. The original angry post was mainly about shipping cost. So would it not be possible to have the exhaust shop cut off the AIR tubes and weld them up? Thanks for the compliment on my truck

Find a short bolt that fits in the hole, and crank it all the way down tight. Thats what I do when customers want their AIR system removed. Works great and doesn't cost a dime.

im going to weld mine. ive seen where people have cut the tubes leaving a couple inches and then beat them with a hammer, then fold them and beat more. looks like trash but it works for a temp job if you dont have a welder

I actually cut my passenger side unused EGR tube off because it got in the way one too many times! I tapped threads into it and then to seal it I put in a bolt coated with some metal epoxy lol
