i've never heard of anybody having any problems with the TB bypass. and as long as you get the right size tubing it shouldnt hang low enough to even remotely get caught up in the belts or pulley.

no trouble, mine has some slack and it doesnt come close to hitting the pulley/belt, look...

looks like it's in danger, but its got plenty of space until it touches the belt/pulley.

I put a 90 degree coupler in mine so it would avoid the water pump pulley. No problems yet.

I used the BMR bypass and I would not have used it w/o some plastic tie straps. It is safely .5 inches away from the pulley. W/O the tie straps it could contact the pulley.

Well instead of bypassing mine, I just eliminated it! If you look at the inside of that pipe, so little coolant goes through there, there really is no reason to hook it back up. I just welded the end of the nipple shut and got rid of all the extra hoses. Even cleaner would be to order two of the block-off things that are used on the back of the block and replace the Y tube with those.

Are you serious? I would not reccomens doing that. Right from the start, that line gets really hot so it must be there for a reason. After driving around that line will be hotter than the main coolant line which probably means that its getting pretty hot up there. But I don't know, if you havent had any problems maybe you dont need it after all

You need that line open to bleed air out of the block/heads. I wouldn't recommend blocking that line off either.

You can still bleed air out of the system by disconnecting the little Y-tube at either side where it goes to the heads.

I agree, I've never heard of anyone else doing this, but no problems so far. Someone said they thought it served a purpose to help cool the heads, but I really don't think it would have a significant effect since the ID is less than 1/4 inch. There are two identical connectors on the back of the heads that serve only as block-offs. I figure if anything, it will keep the front two cylinder heads closer to the same temperature as the two in the rear.

I've had mine bypassed for about 2 years now going thru winters that got below freezing while driving on the interstate. No problems.
