Default Dynatech Slip Fit Headers

I just got a set, and am wondering if I should have the collectors welded before i install them or rtv them and hope for the best?

are you looking for something to seal up between the slip connectors so they dont leak? idk if rtv would do the trick. one trick iv heard of is a little bit of axle grease. maybe put a little on the collectors before you slide the y pipe on. this stuff heats up and gets hard, creates a hard carbon steel. i think this is what ill do, unless someone has a better idea.

Looking for something that'll go between the header and collector, mine are a two piece style they're older headers. Never thought of axle grease though.
