Cats or NO Cats?????
Getting some different feedback from outside sources that taking my cats off will help my car then others say leave them on it will get better gas mileage and wont be able to tell the difference in power gains. I know alot of you dont have them because yall are running long tubes, cant really afford that right now, being laid off kinda put a damper on plans but just considering some cheap mods for right now.

I just finished up my intake/heads/cam/headers swap on my car and I went MAC longtubes without cats, same as you to save money. I honestly wish I had money for cats because the car smells when it's in the garage (i know i need a tune also) but mostly the raspy sound at low to mid- rpm range is something i'm fairly sure is caused by the lack of cats, not just the headers. If the smell or sound doesn't bug you, then get some used headers dude.

I have cat's with my LT's not the stock ones I was thinking about taking them off to see how it sounds but I'm not sure, but if they plug up there coming off and I'm not replacing them.

Unless you're running a max effort, not remotely streetable, full on race engine (which your .sig does not indicate) removing the cats will increase emissions, decrease power, and violate federal law. 700+ HP street legal engines are becoming more and more common. So why would you remove the cat?
