Default Cartek ported LS6 intake vs FAST

I have a cartek ported ls6 intake and ported stock TB. I am trying to find out if going to a FAST 90/90 is going to give me enough gains to justify spending $1000. the car is pretty much only used for Autocross and road racing. I need good usable torque at the wheels from ~3800 rpm. The main operating range is between 3800-6600 and sometimes i will carry it to 6900 just before braking into a corner because it is faster to do that than up and down shift.
My 383 was set up like this with a broad tq curve and had over 400 rwtq from 3200-6000 rpm.

Since my 383 busted a rod, I am now doing a new motor on a budget and it will most likely be a 402 or something with highly ported ls1 heads (already have a LOT of work into them and doing this on a budget so don't want to drop a bunch more on new ported heads). Just trying to figure out what gains if any. Since i road race, I doubt that 10 rwhp or so will make me any faster on a 2 mile track.

thanks

$50.00-$100.00 per 1 rwhp.

spinning as high as you do...i think there would be plenty to gain.

not sure how much the porting on the ls6 helps. but making the power you're talking, with the cubes youre talking, i wouldn't be surprised to see 20hp in the higher end.

how the hell does someone port a one piece intake? Do you mean port matched? I thought porting an intake meant taking it apart to fully work the runners on the inside? Am i way off on this? Teke, help me out here.

porting doesn't have to require separation of the intake.

anything done to open up the runners for more flow is technically "porting". i never separated my FAST but i was able to port alot of material to increase flow.

and in the end it gained me 18hp and 12ftlbs peak over my LS6 and ported TB.....on a stock heads, cam only car.
