Default True Duals - Round or Oval XR-1 Muffler

I am looking into making up a true dual setup. I am currently looking at Dr Gas X-Pipe and Borla XR-1 mufflers. Question is should I get the round or oval mufflers? From what I can see the round pipes are 16" long and 5" diameter. The oval pipes are 16" long , 4 1/2" high and a little over 7" wide. Which will fit better and give the best clearance??? If anyone has this setup, how does it sound/perform?

The round XR1's will fit a lot better. I used an offset oval XR1 for best ground clearance, but I had to cut my floor pan to make it fit.
