Default autometer water temp sensor

I have autometer water temp gauge but where do you install the sensor. Also i have a victor jr intake. I took the stock sensor out but the treads are different. Do they make a different sensor to fit the block

most people tap into the back of the passenger head i believe. there is a hex style round bolt in there and you need to get an adapter to fit the autometer sensor in there. at least i did. there are write ups on this, hope this starts you in the right direction. oh and i would leave the stock one where it is.

i ended up having to get a different sensor, i forget the part number but a call to auto meter should solve any problems. The ls1 is metric thread and the sensor is standard, but still to small to allow for an adaptor. so a smaller sensor and an adaptor is what i had to get.

My gauges may have come with a different sensor though, so you may just need the adaptor.
