Default flipping intake manifold 180

I am trying to flip my intake manifold on my LS1 and the Oil pressure sender is in the way of the throttle body. Can anyone tell me how they have gotten past this problem? You can see the chassis at www.exoticdreambuilders.com

you could possibly move the sender to the lower plug on the rear oil galley. I don't know if there is room in the chassis for it. Basically, there's a thread in plug above the oil filter in the block. It's on an angle up toward the current sensor location. It's the same threads as the sensor. You might be able to swap the plug and sensor to clear.

I've got my sensor totally removed and run only a mechanical gauge off my dry sump pressure stage, so i know the plug thread is the same M16x1.5

BTW, there's WAY to much room above the motor to NOT put turbos on it

Sweet project

BlackTA, the reason I need to flip it is because the throttle body is too close to the firewall on the Lamborghini replica that I am putting it in.

numerous shops do that- the Daytona prototypes, the Mosler, the new factory five car, ect. You can take that sending unit and put a 90* adapter on it.

Just use a elbow fitting and mount it horizontal. Or a oil line and remote mount it.

Thanks for all the input. I have flipped it and I plugged the hole and and will be using a remote sensor.

Orange Krush, the bodies we are using are from North American Exotic Replicas. Price is $98,500. Here is picture with intake manifold flipped, rads and exhaust installed. I have since changed piping on rads to make it a parallel system instead. I will have pictures posted this weekend.

That is one hell of a project!

Your website is very cool too!

I couldn't find the curb weight on the spec page, do U happen to know what it will be?

Is there a customer already lined up for the one U are building, or is this the demo unit?

That's a sweet project and a sweet site.

Any idea if that transaxle/LS1 assembly would fit a Pantera? Someone was talking about swapping an LS1/6 into a Pantera and that might do the trick for them.

The car I'm building has not been sold. It is available. As far as the LS1/Porsche solution for the pantera It may work but I can't say.
As far as the specs on the car I'll let you know the curb weight when its done. The dimensions and geometry of the car are the same as the authentic Lambo.

Dale I just spent a good hour today surfing your site reading about your son/family and checked out all the details!

That is an excellent site, very well set-up.

My 9 year old son and I just love those cars.

I wish U very much success, and don't forget to buy mumma another Vette when all gets rolling and doing well.

I love your original project the Black Diablo, something about those older style wheels just do it for me.

We will be checking back @ http://www.lambobuilder.com/edb/Index.htm often.

Yeah, I spent some time over at his site also. That is some very nice work. I also agree with Harlan; a lot of room there for a pair fo turbos!!!!!
