which catch can with 2004 LS6 Valley Cover?
i'm planning on getting a 2004 LS6 Valley Cover (PN 12577927) for my 2001 LS1.
being that the RevXtreme catch can has a built in PCV, would this cause issues with the 2004 valley cover (which has the fixed orifice instead of the PCV)? and should i go with a Saikou Michi instead?

ok, after much internal debate, i decided to order the 01-03 LS6 valley cover, and the RevXtreme can. i couldn't find any comparisons of the oil separators between the early/late ls6 designs... only that the late design has the fixed orifice pcv built in.
with the 04 cover, i'd be stuck with the fixed orifice, which i read can potentially cause vacuum issues if i do a H/C setup down the road. with the 01-03, i can use the PCV in the can, which will keep the clean appearance, and i can always add the external fixed orifice later if i feel so inclined.

just did my 1st oil change after the LS6 valley cover & catch can install.
although only 500 miles passed since the swap, the catch can was completely empty. not even a single drop came out. While doing the swap, there was a significant amount of oil pooled behind the PCV valve on the stock hose, so i was expecting at least SOMETHING in the can.
Looks like the LS6 Valley cover really works. can't wait to see if oil consumption really improves this year.
