Default Intake question

Hey guys I was wondering what is the advantages of the intakes that have the 90 degree bend. I am trying to figure out if they are used on just forced induction setups. Are they good for N/A or spray setups?

Thanks a bunch, J

I don't understand the question. Can you be more specific? Maybe give us a picture.

Are you talking about a sheetmetal intake?
