Default Mid tube install?

I tried a search but nothing comes up on Mac Mids install. What parts should I have? I seen folks talking about O2 sims, suggesting motor mounts, etc. Is it like installing LT? I would like to change my spark plug and wires also.

Any help on this would be awesome. Thanks folks!!

I installed mac mids on my old 99Z years ago , and buddies 00 Ws6 a few months ago. They are easier to install than Lts.. Yea, I ran 02 sims on the rear due to me having an off road pipe. My buddy needs o2 simms because he is getting a code from his off road pipe.

I have a catted y-pipe so I don't need O2 sims. Do I need extensions?

What part of California you from venom346?

Nope, Dont need extensions, they will still reach, might have to use a zip tie or 2 to secure the new routing path because you have to pull the connecot about 1/2 inch to an inch further because the factory plastic ties wont allow the wires to stretch..

A little easier than Long tubes. But the Driver side is the easiest by far to get in. My passenger side got caught on that infamous casting nub that is about an inch by inch square. The primary which will be near your #6 spark plug might get caught on it. Be prepared to grind some of that down. It is on the block itself, won't hurt anything to grind it if you have to.

I didn't have to change my o2s. No extensions either. A little bit more coaxing of the units, but nothing extensive.

if your going to waste time under or around the car i would suggest long tubes, to me mids are just a waste of time and money, if your installing headers an easy way to do it is take the coil packs off, starter, and the steering knuckle, it creats a lot of room to work

^^ I knew someone was bring up LTs over Mids. I live in the state Cali where I don't want to swap headers everytime I smog nor do I want to pay a friendly smogger.

Thanks for the input though.

IIRC, The mids aren't all that off from HP than Long tubes. I know there is a difference, but not as large of a gap as people make it seem. Plus although not in CA like you, I am in kind of the same boat.

uh guys i live in mokena ill, they have smog laws here too, also in northwest indiana where im from. Ls cars are very easy to get pass emissions, i dunno how they do it by you but out here they hook the OBDII plug in and it reads off your o2's which hp tuners can clear your rear o2's so it only reads off your front bank 1 and bank 2, and sure you'll like your mids if you have very few mods but once you start going to H/C/I your best bet is with LT's

I am on the fence about doing the whole H/C/I thing still. We'll see. I haven't got the itch to mod as bad as some folks I know.
