Default whats a good header and y pipe combo?

i have a 99 z28 and i have almost completely finished the suspension now im moving on to the rest of the car. and i would like to know what header and y pipe combo i should go with, the car already has borla catback with a QTP electric cutout, i just replaced the motor on the cutout and i would like to continue to use it once i replace the headers and pipe.

thanks

hooker or kooks are my 2 personal choices.

I went with the kooks because of a slightly better fit and they tuck up a little better than the Hookers...

but I have had both and both are great.

and I personally always go 1-7/8 ...
this current setup I am working on I've got a catted Y-Pipe

if you can spend that much i vote kooks or qtp also if you ever plan for bigger cubes you might want to get 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8" or just straight 1 7/8"

just because no1 has said it yet, the best budget friendly option would be pacesetter ceramics and TSP o/r y.

with that budget go with either Kook's w/catted y-pipe or American Racing Headers w/catted y-pipe, 1 7/8" with either brand.

I went with Edlebrock 1 3/4" step to 1 7/8" with a 3 1/2" merg collector because they were on sale for around $300. ut i didn't have a $1400 to play with or I would have gone with one of those two above.

I was just reading on the ebay headers in another thread and they seem to be getting great reviews plus they are SS. I cant justify to myself spending that much on headers when there are other options out there that will do the same job. I would rather put the $1500 that I would save into something that has a better $:hp ratio

As for me, Pacesetters or ebay
