ORY or Catted Y pipe to win a bet
I live in MA so I think I have to go catted Y to pass inspection but will it hold me up that much if I go catted in HP. I have a bet with my friend he thinks that I will not make 350 hp to the wheels with a lid, smooth bore bellows, LT headers 1 3/4 to a 3 inch Y pipe and I also have a diablo programmer. I have yet to install headers or y pipe or do the programmer. Do you think that I will be able to push over 350 with that set up and do you think I should go catted or ORY?

No you way you will get 350 to the rear wheels with just that little bit. If you do you went to a happy dyno to get it dyno'd but you may want to go to a dynojet instead of a mustang dyno but you still won't make it either way.

put some 241 ported heads on it and LS6 cam. He will never know. Then use stock manifolds.
Seriously though. Steps:
Step 1: Throw Programmer in the trash.
Step 2: Bellows arent really doing much or anything for you. Nearly a free mod that some people pay 60$ for.
Step 3: Cancel the bet. I hope it wasnt you that ran your mouth about being able to make that power. Esp if its an A4.

2000 Z28 M6 i would never buy a A4 it loses all the fun of having a sport car.
I havent put any money on it I figured I would need more but thought there might be a shot in the dark that I would get that much. On that note I wont even waste my time betting against it. And why would I throw a diablo sport programmer in the trash it will allow me to tweak the AFR and get rid of Skip Shift top 2 reasons never mind having a scanner also for the SES light.

^ I've also got a 2000 Z28 M6. With my Catted LT's + Borla CB, Lid, bellows, filter and P+P'd TB I put down 336/346 with a dyno tune. I don't think the ORY would net that much of a gain. It just moves your power to up top a little bit and you lose a slight bit of tq down low, but not lost totally. And extra rasp.

With all the bolt ons, an LS6 intake and a good dyno tune you should get close to 350rwhp. Once you get there you will want 400rwhp, that's just how it works.
On a street car I say keep the cats.
Did you see the post about the dyno day at Slowhawk's, it will get your hp addiction off to a good start:

Nope never been in one I just love being able to shift my own gears though to each his own I dont race this car I drive it to enjoy it and look good doing it is all. Its my first sport car and its great the way it is and will be amazing after I can actually hear the exhaust even more after headers.
