This may be a stupid question, but where are you guys getting the longer plug wires from? are you making them? I've been thinking about relocting the coils somewhere, but worried about the custom/longer wires.

You can buy the wires from MSD they have a set for coil relocation in their catalog or you can buy them from Summit or Jegs or whoever you like and cut them to the correct length. The MSD wires come with a crimping tool. I cut up a set of Taylor LT1 wires for the first set I did back in 2005 after 90,000 miles I replaced them with the MSD wires. There is actually enough wire to make two relocation kits in the MSD set. If you do not want to fabricate the brackets to mount the coils Moroso makes a kit with the brackets. Or you can go to home depot and spend less than $20 and fab your own. It is really no big deal.

I'm trying to decide where to put my LS1 coils. (LT1 motor, canton VCs)
The frame rails scare be due to heat/water/road debris
The dash seems ok, until I have to pull a valve cover off.
I like EFI connections mounts, but they'd be pretty tall on top of the Cantons.

It's almost like I have to build a custom mount to either hang them off the endge of the
VCs or push them up by the fuel raill.
