Opinions on Pacesetter longtubes?

Opinions on Pacesetter longtubes? I am ordering my exhaust this week and TSP has a combo of their catted y pipe and pacesetter LT's i was wondering if i could get some opinions on the headers?

Good headers for the price. I have the combo, but with an ORY. Make sure you upgraded to the coated headers, and not the painted headers as they are crap. I'd definitely go with the catted Y pipe though, good choice.
The headers went in no problem, and I am pleased with them. Make sure to get the o2 extensions, or buy new Bosch 13111 o2 sensors. Also a good time to replace the spark plugs, I went with the TR55's. Also, it would be a good choice to get the OEM GM gaskets
as the ones supplied in the kit are not good quality. Additionally I would order some better clamps. Two of the clamps supplied with the kit are fine, but the rest are shitty quality, and if you want to eliminate any chance of exhaust leaks upgrade with higher quality clamps.

I have the painted versions. Im not really a cruise night pop your hood "look what i got" kinda guy. So i didnt really care if the paint burns off. the fit is very good and the non coated ones are cheaper , which kinda covers the cost of the ORY. But it truly bolis down to user preference. the coated look real nice. Either way.. for the money they cost you cant go wrong.
I'm running the painted pacesetters. The paint burns off as soon as you look at them but from what I understand it takes a LONG time for it to completely rust through. I live in California and mine actually have very little rust on them (been running them for 9 months now).
The fit is really good and I felt a nice performance gain after getting the tune by Frost. Get them!

I have the tsp ory,ps coated longtubes,they are good for the price ,but will rust with in a few weeks,I never drive my car in any bad weather or anything and mine showed rust really fast,a friend got some stainless longtubes from ebay ,I swear I think he paid like 220 shipped for them and they fit better,and still look great,like I said great for the money but I wish I would have went stainless,but I have had mine for 3 years ,but don't think they are gonna look good for more than a month or 2
As for the painted ones there not crap,a friend has ran the for awhile ,they work I would just repaint them before putting them on,the coating is gonna flake off sooner or later also lol,for the money you can't really beat them though,but I really thought the ebay headers were a better buy,and a tsp y pipe fit them great,you will be happy with the Ps
I am running the pacesetters coated and the pacesetter ORY. I am very satisfied with them. Good fit, and good quality. If i were you, i would just go pick up a set of TSP 1 7/8. headers. They are priced i think the same as the pacesetters.

I got the coated Pacesetters with the TSP ORY. The headers are great and went in almost too easy. Can't say much for the TSP ORY though, nothing matched up had to end up taking it in to a shop and have them cut and weld it up.
Ran them on my old Z for 2 years and have been on the SS for 3 years now and I have never had a single issue. The ones that I have do have rust on them but so far, no leaks.

Yup, I have no complaints with these, very good bang for the buck. But like previously stated the TSP Y-Pipe is notorious for being a pain to put in.First off it comes in a bunch of pieces, which is not fun. I learned shortly after I installed mine that you need to trim around an inch off the end in order for it to fit properly. If you end up going with this combo, put the Y-Pipe together before you try and put it on the car, and don't completely tighen down the header bolts so you still have some play when installing the Y-Pipe. Seems simple, but it makes a HUGE difference.

i am very happy with my coated pacesseters, but like someone mention about the Y there is a big restriction in were the pipes merge, i was in a hurry to installe and had nothing to go in there to grind away the extra material, today i regret and thinking of taking apart to fix, wonder how mutch it is affecting my car?
They are a great budget-friendly header. But one thing to keep in mind, the ceramic coating is not only for looks. It aids in keeping the heat inside the header. For those of you with mild steel headers (painted) that arent wrapped, make sure your wires are tied back plenty far from the primaries. Wrapping is a good idea to keep under hood temps down, reduce the possibility of fires and hide the ugly/flaky headers!
