Default Probably A Dumb Question

Ok so I probably have a dumb question about my headers. On the passenger side header there are two hook ups for egr .... I only unbolted one from my stock manifolds so what is the other hook up for .... ? I know I'm probably forgetting something but thanks in advance .

It shoud have came with a block off for it. If you aren't going to use it just use the block off plate. Have you started the install yet? I'm doing mine on tues when I get home.

Yes I started the install . They are in place I just need to torque them down and put in my new plugs and wires. No block off plate came with them .... I know theres one of these hook ups on each factory manifold but on my headers there is one on the driver side and two on the passenger side header .... So I'm just wondering what the second hole is for and what to do with it ?

Again; there are two ports for the A.I.R. system, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side. There is also a port on the passenger side for the EGR, whichs means there are TWO ports on the passenger side.

You can either make your own blockoff plate with some thin sheet metal and reuse the factory bolts from the factory manifolds or order a set from one of the sponsors

Are you still running both A.I.R and EGR?

If you are only running the EGR you'll want to use the one that is coming off the lower part of the header

2001s didn't have EGR so you'd need an EGR blockoff plate. Speed Inc sells them. ------>

I think I see now that my car didn't come with egr , just air .... I guess I'll have to get a block off plate for the egr space does it matter which I block off by the way ?

I should have asked first thing what year it was and we could have fixed this a few posts ago, lol

Correct the 01-02 cars did not have EGR so you will need the block off plate. The one on the front most part of the passenger header is the one that needs blocked off.

The air fittings are a diffent size than the egr one. Two for air, one for egr.
