Default SLOW tach

didnt know where to put it, mods move if necessary lol

is there a fix for the OEM TACH on how it reads so slow,

during my 1st and second gear when i get on it the tach doesn't seem to read as fast as the engine goes(verified with hp tuners)

limiter is set at 6800 1st and 2nd gear seem to hit it on the tach at around 6200/6400 respectively

is there a fix for this other than buying a hideous after market tach, or buying a shift light? is there something we can do to the tach itself to help it read more accurately

Shift light hidden in the vent from Harlan. They are pretty cheap and easy to wire up. Factory tach is very slow.

The only fix is an aftermarket tach or just get a shift light like mentioned above

Nitrous would have the wrong effect Brian. . . the engine would rev much faster and the needle would still be delayed.

I have to echo the shift light suggestion. Once my Raptor shift light was hooked up and set for my cue to shift I never had another issue with the rev limiter and the car feels quicker. Rev limiter set at 6800, shift light comes on at 6400. My slow shifting has shown shifts to be happening around 66xx rpms. So without the shift light my slow shifting was kissing the rev limiter. Get the shift light.

Like I said earlier the Harlan one is great, at $50 + $5 shipping it's a no brainer.
