Post Starter brands

Should I prefer MSD, PowerMaster or GM for my starter?

I'd like to get the most reliable one

I don't know really, but I'd say you can't go wrong with GM/AC delco. Hopefully someone else will chime in who has some knowledge.

I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading about your adventure in the USA, I just checked it out when I saw your sig. Thank you for saving a piece of an American legend

Thank you, I really enjoyed it too. American people are good people contrary to what is usually said about them. I miss USA, might come back soon

Default Starter

I have a Powermaster on my 454 and never missed a start.

But since your engine size is the LQ4, just stick with the original A/C Delco. I have an A/C on my 492 and it turns it over fine. The A/C on the 454 seemed to struggle with the cubes..

The guy at summit asks me if my LQ4/T56 168 teeth is staggered or inline bolt pattern

What should I say?
