Default This is a stock pipe, right?

Why isn't it round? It seems like it would flow better if it were round. The pipe that comes from the block is round then it turns into this shape.

It's stock, it's designed like that for clearance purposes.

FYI, the oval pipe after the driverside cat isn't the restriction, it the double wall pipe between the passengerside manifold and the catalytic converter that's the biggest restriction.

THAT.

you have 2000+ post and you cant tell if this is a stock pipe ? its mainly for clearance. hence look at any 3" y pipe and see how it hangs under car. even if its tucked up nicely you can still see some of the pipe which is annoying and they should have made a place for the exhaust..

I don't think exhaust routing on the F-body's was even much of a consideration when the car was designed, probably and afterthought.
