Default Tax Time = Headers and True Duals Time

Getting rid of my flowmaster cat-back and stock manifold for TSP Longtubes and a Rumbler X pipe with dynomax bullets. One question, unlike pacesetter headers, tsp doesn't give me the option of choosing race style (no egr) 98-99 or 00-2002. so i'm guessing they are just race style. So embarrased to ask this, but if i dont hook up the emissions stuff on the manifolds right now, what do i do with it? just let it chill in the engine bay? stop it up? will i get a SES light? let me know thanks a lot

if you buy the race style headers, you can remove the EGR and AIR pump, you'll just have a SES light staring you in the face till you get it tuned out....i bought the race style....when up did my upgrades, i sent the computer off to have a mail order tune for bolt ons, so everything was good to go

i wish that C10 was mine, but i plan to build one just like it very soon.....i should probably take it out of my sig, but i love that bodystyle....race just means no emmisions fittings for EGR or AIR tubes, no other differences.....do you have emmisions tests in your area, OBD2 or sniffer?......my race headers are fine with local OBD2 emmisions testing since i have the computer tuned for them, i i'll fail the visual since i don't have cats.....i'm gonna have to buy some before december

you'll be good with the race style, just budget an extra 150 or so in for a mail order tune if you don't know anyone in your area with a laptop + tuning program who can hook you up

Ordered my TSP 1 7/8" LT's earlier this month too . Only difference is I'm getting a custom 3" true dual system and dyno tuned. Race style = no EGR fittings. Most people just remove the EGR and AIR completely, there are several how-to threads laying around. Cleans up the engine bay pretty nice, and since you're not subject to emissions testing (me either), then you don't need the extra mess/weight. If you are keeping the original ls1 intake manifold you'll need to plug the EGR hole that's just behind the throttle body though.

If you are getting longtubes and true duals, you are definitely not going with an emissions friendly exhaust. Just ditch the EGR stuff (as in rip it out).
