Default catch can question

I am not running a pcv system and I am wondering if adding a catch can would help oil from getting on my map sensor?

I'll take a free catch can if you'd be willing to ship it near Los Angeles, CA and I'll pay for shipping of course. I've always been on the fence about catch cans myself but shoot me a PM if your up for it.
