Default Which size catylic converter is correct

My 2000 trans am has stock exhaust. I am ordering the slp loud moth catback. One of my catylic converters is bad so I want to change both. I have a Jegs catalog and it lists different sizes for catylic converters. Different length and diameter. Any one know which is correct.

Go with a magnaflow cat back with their 3 inch converters. Much better sound IMO.

Are you just looking for some stock replacements or are you looking to try and pick up some power as well?

Most aftermarkets cats are not going to bolt right in.

SLP fits to factory just fine. I have a SLP loudmouth 2 and like it, but I think the loudmouth 1 sounds better. I think the stock Y is either 2.5 or 2.75. . . And I'm sure you're way out of warranty, but FYI the cats on the 2000s were recalled.

I have the loudmouth ready to instill and need catylic converters that will bolt in with no modifications just like stock but butter flow couldn't hurt

If it's catback then you don't need to add any more
cats.

Random Tech made high flow cats and Y once upon
a time. They flowed better than stock and not quite
as well as gutted shells when I tested them. I had
to give them away when I went to the aftermarket
K-member but they fit fine to the stock logs and K.
