Default True duel exhaust guys, input needed!!!

I currently have Pacesetter LT's, into TSP true duel exhaust thats turned down just prior to the rear axle. I have been toying around with the idea of a set of boomtubes coming out the side right in front of the tires. Its going to be a complete slip-on to my existing system and I am not loosing any ground clearence. My question is would anybody else be interested in a setup like this??? An what other thoughts/concerns are out there?

I've been looking at my system right after the x-pipe there is about 10" of pipe then the mufflers. What im planning is remove the pipe, and attach them right to the back of the muffler.

That would be sick. I'm running the same setup on my 98 firebird and I love the idea, think it would give it a unique sound/look

Well i should have the first side done this weekend, i am finishing the welds now and am going to make the adapter piece tonight hopefully. All depends on how much time the wifey lets me have in the garage.

Sweet man, I'm anxious to see how this turns out. Seen a couple videos of a side exit or side exit with boomtubes and it sounds great. So you're just gonna put the mufflers off the x pipe and run tubing from that out the side?

They were popular 6-7 years ago (use the search feature). I think Dr Gas made a kit for our cars.

An what other thoughts/concerns are out there?
I'm concerned about your "duel" exhaust. Why are they fighting each other?

I think more camaro guys would be interested, I personally don't like the holes in the bumpers the TAs have with dumps/ sidepipes.

Im thinking of fillmaking a filler panel and plastic welding it into the bumper, so that way those openings are gone.

I think you're confused. Those are definitely NOT boomtubes. They're just some big flat exhaust tips.

Marc have you seen boomtubes up close??? The reason I ask is because thats what they are, the problem i found with trying to get them into an f-body is how big they are. With a DrGas boomtube, the shortest height they make is a 2"H by 12"W, which would completely kill and ground clearence. I made my with the adapter to hook directly on 3" pipe instead of 2.5" x 4" oval piping, they both flow the same.
