Default Attempt to sqash eBay header debate

I just got my headers today from eBay and I will be making this thread simply to document exactly how the install goes. I will take tons of pictures and give as much detail as I can. I wont discuss how much they cost because I think thats off limits but hopefully a full account of the install process is still ok so other people will know for sure how it goes. I am going to install Prothane motor mounts at the same time so hopefully that will help with any fitment issues. If this thread violates any rules feel free to take it down, otherwise as soon as we get the install going I will be updating with pics and tricks..

Here are the headers and gaskets, nothing else at all came with the headers.
I will be using GM gaskets for the install though

EDIT: Try to save everyone some reading and post it here. Header install went great with no real issues.. Took it to the track and picked up 2 tenths of a second and 2.5 mph... Best time went from 8.53 @ 83.5 before headers to 8.34 @ 86 after headers..

I haven't seen any posts with pics to document the install, its always people arguing about it so I thought it might help people decide if they wanna go the cheap route and see what they are in for

you shouldn't have fittment issues....at the most you will have to grind a little out of the k-member on the drivers side..

I took some more pictures to show how they are built. I won’t say I know the difference between good/bad welds and all that. This is just to show how these are put together. There are no markings at all to indicate what brand they are on the header itself and there are only two markings on the package which I included a picture of but if they violate any rules please feel free to remove the picture or I can. I am simply trying to answer the question asked by juicestain but I am NOT endorsing this product

Good Luck with the install.. You're very smart for doing the motor mounts at the same time

Now build yourself a nice custom Y pipe

hairydog03.. We are putting them in at my friends garage.. We always have a few beers and just hang out and make it fun.. He is a super Ford nut but he knows his stuff really well and the garage is a rented unit big enough for almost 3 cars.. If you want to come down and have a beer with us and help out it would be great to meet someone else!!

I would strap the car down and get you guys a dyno before and after but I will be sending the computer to Frost while we put them in so I wouldn’t be able to give you s strictly header gain from it..

I would call mandatory grinding of ANYTHING a fitment issue.

for the price you really cant beat it.... on a car i purchased the fitment of these headers were fine, only problem i had was the long 02 extension with block off plate broke off as it is long and heavy. Cut an iron bolt in half and welded it in the hole problem fixed.

I run kooks on the rest of the cars

Are those coated or is it polished stainless steel? Also what is the primary size? it is hard to tell by the ruler of the inside.

The welds seem good and I'm not an exhaust expert but the collectors on the inside seem nice also, not sure if that is the most efficient or best design but it looks good to me. I'm actually surprised how nice they looked in the pics.

There was already an ORY on the car that's modified for the stock manifolds, I'm just going to unmodify it :-)
