Weekend project:Kooks longtubes,ORY and Magnaflow ,LS6 intake Helping a friend of mine to add a little kick to his 2000 z28. Current mods are a chokemaster 2.5" crossflow muffler and tips,MSD wires,Underdrive pulley. The car actually runs pretty good for the lack of mods.lol. It has just hit the 100k mark. Aslo the engine bay was extremely dirty and was in need of a cleanup. We will tackle that as well. So the task will be installing these beautiful Kooks stainless steel headers,Kooks Off road Y pipe and Magnaflow bullet style muffler. The exhaust is all complete stainless steel and looks exceptionally well. I have done many headers 10-12+ on f bodys but never a set of KOOKS. The passenger side went on no problem.The driver side was another story. removed steering shaft,lifted motor on that side,grinded k member,banged firewall. It eventually saw things my way and went in. Ls6 intake will replace the stock(crap)LS1 intake.Heres a little progress .more to come

Pics arent the best i apologize.its just off my camera phone. There s a shot of the LS6 intake and heres a few more cleaned up and a few friends that stopped by,my Vette,my 87 shortbed 5.3 vortec,4L60e project. Just another day at the shop AKA my house.lol. Ill work on them sound clips as well. It really does sound well.Nice and clean

yes its a KOOKS.first driving impressions feel better at higher rpms and sound is great .no drone or rasp. I know once it gets tuned,its gonna feel even better. PCV was trashed. i wouldve recommended the LS6 valley conversion along with the pcv setup but funds were limited at this time

where'd you get the kooks long tubes and ORY? how's the gain and sound of the kooks? I'm soon to buy a set of kooks long tubes too but unsure about the ORY pipe.
