Default Easy Battery Relocation

If I dont plan on going to the track, can I just put the battery in the spare tire area, extend the positive wire from under the hood to the trunk, then ground the battery in the trunk space?

Seems to me like it would be a lot easier than getting a distribution block and all that other stuff that I dont need....

Tick Performance sells a really nice battery relocation kit. Yea yea i know you can go out and buy your own wire for cheaper etc... But the kit comes with all the wire needed, and precut/heatshrink to the correct lengths. Also includes the big 3 upgrade wires, and the quick disconnect along with all zipties/solder/heatshrink needed. and comes with detailed instructions. I think its worth it for a hassel free install....

Using the body sheet metal for your current return
path is never a good idea. Convenient, perhaps, in
older vehicles with not much electrical goings-on.
If you can stand lazy cranking and a lot of ignition
noise / alternator whine.

Fat copper both ways, is better.
