What headers? Writeup will vary a bit...

Either way it is pretty straight forward, get the car as high as possible and its cake.

Remove coils/plug wires for easier access, replace plugs/wires while you are there.
I have had mine on/off a couple of times and find my 3/8 stubby ratchet to work the best for the back header bolts.
The back passenger side plug, wire and header bolt is easiest from under the car, but can be done from ontop.
I recommend new MLS header gaskets, but usually in most cases it is fine to reuse the stock header bolts.
Like stated, the higher the car, the better.

What kind/size of headers are you installing?

there was a really good thread on here awhile back about the header and MM install that I used for my install. It had great pictures showing you every bolt.. I can't seem to find it now though, you may try digging around here for it also. As others said though it is fairly simple even without, just unbolt bits and pieces along the way, get the starter out of the way for sure, and depending on your headers.. steering knuckle definitely, oil drain plug and filter most likely.

If you think write ups are crap then you obviously don't need them being the expert that you are.

or there's the other side... not very tech/car savvy and needs something with a little more direction than some of the very general guides out there. There really is no need for comments like that. I'm very good with things like this, and I still dug until I found a write-up that showed pictures most every step of the way. It helps make things go much smoother when you're out working on the car to know instead of having to hunt around for bolts that may or may not be holding you up...

the write ups are very helpful once you get down there and actually see everything they are talking about.

Only reason I was being a smart *** is because you were so quick to comment how the write ups are ****. There are in fact plenty of very good, detailed write ups that are easily found doing a simple search and a little research. A little common sense and mechanical aptitude also help.

Thanks for posting that link, that's an awesome writeup. I'm considering headers, I read it and saved it as well.

Lol, I read that everyday for 4 months prior to doing my headers. I didn't even need it by the time it came around to doing them. It helped soo much!

best advice is just to dig in really, just move what ever gets in your way and slip them in. just take your time. i had to loosen my alternator in my case and thats it. others might not need this. good luck with the install.

I'm with this guy. Problem solving and figuring it out your self is half the fun. There's a lot of people that will preach what is absolutely necessary to install headers or other parts. While others get it down with half the steps.
