Default SLP Smooth Bellow, worth it?

The title says it all. $70.00 bucks sounds a bit pricey to me for a piece of silicone.

For 70 bucks, no. You can find silicone couplers elsewhere a lot cheaper.

If your car is tuned to run in speed density, there is no need for the maf.

Worth it for looks alone. No real performance gain. Check Speed Inc. I thought it was only 50 bucks. Been years though

Shoot me for saying it, but what the hell....

1) Go to eBay and type in LS1 bellows.
2) Pick your color
3) Enjoy the fact of knowing you payed 34.50 shipped.

There's some company on eBay who makes knock off SLP's for $30, I have the SLP only because it came with my lid, filter, and bellow combo I also found of eBay used. If I wouldn't have found that deal I would just buy the one on eBay. I think it worth it for looks if you're into cleaning up your engine bay but I'm sure it does little to nothing for performance.

Or..........................

You could just fab the entire front support, core support and nose cone support out of tubular steel like I did, lose 140 lbs, and then run the carbon vette-style intake tube and go big or go home?

No? Dont feel like 30 hours of fab?

Dont blame you, but on the bright side, my turbo setup (eventually, direct port with Eddy Pro-Flo XT now) will fit without any clearance issue.

Thread HiJack? perhaps.

Fun? Definately.
